Update Direct From Adobe
We’ve had a number of customers come in recently with computers that have stopped booting correctly after a supposed Adobe Flash Player update. The update alert appears to the customer in the form of a popup while visiting random websites. While you might not have the most recent version of Flash Player, (needed to view content on many websites) it is possible the links within the popup are either malicious or incorrect and lead to a broken computer.
For this reason, Level Seven Computers recommends going directly to Adobe’s website to download updates to Flash Player whenever you think you might have an old version. Generally speaking, there is an update every few weeks, so updating once a month is not a bad idea. Not only will this help ensure all content on websites is properly playing, but close security loopholes found in old versions.
